The District School Of Ministry: A Great Investment
The District School of Ministry is something I believe in very strongly! Students are currentl enrolled in one of the four tracks of study, many of whom are preparing for credentials through the North Texas District. One of the joys of working with special group of people is their passion to learn, to study God's Word and to apply it to practical situations. If you or someone you know has a desire to deepen their knowledge of God's Word or increase their preparation to serve the Lord, the DSOM is a profitable way to go. You can contact Kelly Hamilton at the District Office in the Adult Division and begin your journey through fully accredited courses from Global University. I can't think of a better way to gain personal enrichment or to prepare for credentials with the Assemblies of God than through the District School of Ministry. NTDSOM — What is it?
The School of Ministry is a District Berean Study Center which assists men and women pursuing credentials with the Assemblies of God and those seeking to develop practical ministry skills and personal enrichment in their understanding of God's Word. The school seeks to provide students with the highest quality instruction and resources available. The NTDSOM uniquely combines home study, classroom instruction, the student's relationship with a mentor, and active involvement in ministry.
Why is it important?
Our district has set forth a vision to establish 1,000 healthy churches. To achieve this goal we must equip and strengthen ministers and laypersons with a biblical foundation and effective ministry tools to enable our churches to reach their communities for Christ.

Who may participate?
Whether the student desires to obtain ministerial credentials, advance to the next credential level, or desires to be a more effective Christian worker, the School of Ministry will provide a biblical foundation for ministry. Students may enter the program at any point during the year and enroll in as many classes as desired.
For the Student – Whether you are just starting the credentialing process or seeking to advance to the next level of ministry, the School of Ministry offers all courses necessary to complete the education requirements for certified, license, and ordination levels in three years.
For the Layperson – The layperson wanting to become better equipped through systematic bible study and valuable ministry training, this is an excellent way to gain the knowledge you desire.
For the Minister – We strongly encourage each credentialed minister, regardless of level of credentials, to continue their education. We hope pastors continuing their education as students of the Word and sharpen ministry skills in order to strength their person and church ministry.
