Secretariat and Treasury -
Renewal of Credentials
|
|
The coming of November will mark the beginning of our Credential Renewal season. One special thing to remember is that our renewal fee in North Texas is now $65 per the action taken by the 95th District Council. Senior Retired ministers are exempt from paying an annual renewal fee.
You may go to www.generalsecretary.ag.org and renew online or you may use the paper form mailed to you by the General Council mid November.
Please remember the following points when sending your renewal form to the district:
- There is only 1 copy of the renewal. The minister should make 2 copies – 1 for their file and 1 for the District Office file. Please send the original and 1 copy to the District Office with all checks, not the General Council (they will not accept it without a district official's signature of approval at the bottom).
- Tithe to all offices must be current as of the month you send in your form (as long as you have paid your tithe faithfully during the year, you do not have to hold your renewal form to send in with your final year end tithe check).
- Please take time to verify the information preprinted on your form – we update our computer records based on the information listed there.
- Remember to answer all the questions and sign your renewal form. The General Council will not accept partially completed or unsigned forms.
- Renewal forms must be postmarked by December 31 to avoid having to pay the $50 late fee. Renewal forms postmarked after January 15 can not be accepted.
Reinstating credentials that have lapsed will cost a minister $200, so let us encourage you to send in your renewal form promptly!
Everyone must renew their credentials; even the ministers who just received their credentials or stepped up their credentials during the Fall Councils.
