Discipleship Ministries
Boys and Young Men K-12: Royal Rangers
Royal Rangers is a mentoring program for future men. We’re an activity-based, small-group ministry. And our mission is to evangelize, equip, and empower the next generation of Christ-like men and lifelong servant leaders.
We provide Christ-like character formation and servant leadership development in a highly relational and fun environment. We use multiple methods to provide guidance, discipline, and structure, including friendships, activities, an advancement system, interactive learning, uniforms, a patrol system, and service and ministry outreach.
Girls Ministries
Our Girls Ministries Team trains, equips, and mentors you and your church to be effective ministers and leaders in girls ministry. You’ll be inspired to see God’s ministry grow as we line up with the National Girls Ministry Department. And you’ll be empowered to reach your calling as the Holy Spirit leads and empowers you.
Junior Bible Quiz
JBQ – It’s not just a game. It’s faith for a lifetime. In a fast-paced race to the buzzer, two competing teams try to win as many points as they can as they answer questions about the Bible and its teachings. All questions and answers come from the official Bible Fact-Pak.
Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge
BGMC stands for "Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge." Boys and girls are challenged to help our missionaries, challenged to sacrificially give to missions, challenged to reach the lost, and challenged to keep their hearts open to the call to the work of full-time missions. The money raised through BGMC is used to provide our missionaries with the supplies they need to reach people around the world. BGMC equips kids to know, to care, to pray, to give, and to reach the lost.
Join us this October for a day of serving communities across Dallas!
We’ll meet at The Lighthouse at 10:00 AM for breakfast and a quick team meeting before dividing into four teams and heading to different neighborhoods. Churches will be responsible for transportation to their assigned serve location.
Throughout the day, kids and leaders will have opportunities to:
- Pick up trash during neighborhood visitation
- Help set up community giveaways
- Assemble and pass out bagged lunches
- Help distribute groceries, clothing and household items to families
Churches are encouraged to bring items to help stock our neighborhood giveaways - the needs are as follows:
Gently used shoes (BIG need!), used clothing, canned and dry foods, household décor, small kitchen appliances, dishes/cookware/utensils, and used toys.
This is a hands-on opportunity for kids to serve together and make a difference in our Dallas communities!
Because the nature of what we will be doing, we can only allow children elementary age and older at this event. Each church will be responsible for getting their group to and from Lighthouse Dallas.

Meet Our Director
Michelle Garland
Michelle Garland has served as the NTKM Director for the past ten years. She is a an Ordained minister and has served kids and families for the last 25 years. She has a heart to create spaces where kids and their leaders are seen, heard, and valued. She and Michael have been married for 22 years and they have two daughters, Ava (19) and Emma (17). Michelle is a coffee and football enthusiast but most importantly she loves the local church, connecting with kids pastors, and celebrating their victories in ministry.
